Technical documentation

A technical file always belongs to something

On a shared drive, “documentation” is a folder. In XKEMA that folder doesn't exist: the datasheet hangs off its component, the Gerbers off their board, the test report off the design it belongs to. You search the way you think, not the way someone filed it in 2019.

  • esquematico_main_control.pdfBoard · Rev C
  • gerbers_main_control_revC.zipPCB
  • informe_test_eos.pdfProject
  • stm32f407-datasheet.pdfComponent
  • tabla_consumos_v4Engineering table

Sample data.

Viewers

Opening a Gerber shouldn't mean launching the ECAD

XKEMA brings its own viewers for PDF, Gerber, stackup, BOM, components and engineering tables. Checking a layer or reviewing a list happens in the browser, even from a machine with no licences installed.

Gerber viewer with layer selection.

Gerber, layer by layer

No zip to download, no second tool to open.

Stackup viewer with layers, materials and thicknesses.

PCB stackup

Layers, materials and thicknesses on the board's own record.

Sharing and protecting

Show one document without handing over the project

Sometimes a manufacturer needs to see a drawing, or a customer a report. XKEMA generates a read-only link with an expiry date for that one document: whoever receives it needs no account and sees nothing else.

  • Content-based validation — every upload is checked by what it is, not by its extension.
  • Per-object permissions — granted to one named person or to the whole team.
  • Linked versions — a new version never overwrites the last one.
